The Way you Stare — After Evanesence, Surrender (a golden shovel poem)

surrender

I can resist you, like there’s
a chance — but I know, there’s no
way out, no escaping
this hold you have on me!
The way you stare, my
skin burns, and I ache for your love —
 I will always surrender!
