There is clean breath
beyond the tears.
It washes my bones.
There is sunlight
in the very bottom
of a still warm teacup —
honey sweet on my heart.
There is even birdsong
on the cloudiest day,
and I am stronger
than I sometimes think.

above his fingers
earl grey hot
